I had an air conditioner emergency on a Saturday afternoon with a heat index of 108 outside. The technician call me back within 15 minutes and even directed me on how to check to see if I could deal with issue. He even stayed on the line while I went into the attic but still could not figure it out. He was trying to save me money - how unusual. Then he came out as soon as he finished the call he was on. figured out the problem in less than five minutes and had the part on the truck to fix it. I have used this company for years and have always been more than satisfied with their prompt and quality service. I never write these reviews but feel like they went above and beyond to fix my problem.

Very professional group of individuals. From the ladies who answered my initial call to the AC Tech that came out to my apartment. I called to get a summer service on my unit because it was becoming increasingly hotter in the afrernoons. Not only was the Tech prompt, friendly, and professional, he went above and beyond to explain everything he was doing. He made suggestions on how I can save energy and keep it cooler with blackout curtains. He was so helpful! And prices were reasonable. The company has been operating in Austin since the 1940's so you know you are getting a great caliber of service from the start. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an honest AC company.

We've had two exceptional experiences with Wansley Refrigeration Services (specifically our technician - Anthony). Our AC stopped working on a Sunday in June so my parents, who have used Wansley for years for both their personal and business needs, recommended we give them a call. Anthony came out within a couple of hours of us calling and fixed our issue, but told us that he thought we might have a large Freon leak so if the issue arose within the next couple of months, we would need to replace the part. Cut to last week, our AC stopped working again; we texted Anthony and he came back out and replaced the Freon again and luckily, we were 4 days within our warranty expiring so the part was covered! Anthony is very responsive and communicative, which is always nice when you're having someone come out. He and Jimmy came out to my house yesterday to install the new part and they worked quickly, efficiently, and explained what they were doing. Highly highly recommend reaching out to Wansley if you have an issue!

I've just used Wansley for the third time and I am so impressed with them. It was a post on NextDoor a few years ago that led me to call them with an air conditioner problem. They were prompt, very friendly, didn't try to upsell, and quickly solved the issue. My most recent encounter was just yesterday, when Bailey came to our house and in less than half an hour, got our AC cooling properly. He was polite, friendly, and super-competent. The only possible negative thing I could say is really an indicator of their old-fashioned method of doing business: don't use their website to submit a service request. The wonderful lady who answers their phone admitted to me that she doesn't really "trust" the internet and that I should always call to get the quickest result. They apparently still use a card/filing cabinet method of record-keeping and you know what? I'm gonna use 'em forever just because of that and their commitment to fast, friendly, reasonably-priced service. This is what's missing from most "service" businesses today. Wansley will treat you right!

Mike, our primary technician, is fantastic. Friendly, responsive, reliable and always acts with our best interests in mind. If the repair isn't something he can guarantee, he'll suggest alternatives for us instead of charging us. We can trust that if/when something can be repaired, but more efficiently be replaced, he'll be honest with us and give all the information possible to make the best decision.
When Mike (heaven forbid) goes on vacation or is otherwise unavailable, we've worked with other technicians from Wansley. While not all are as friendly as Mike, they have all still done high-quality work, and deliver the same great service.
I don't hope for my home A/C to break down any time soon, I do know who I'll call when it needs a little help.

Don't waste time with anyone else. We'd had a half a dozen hvac repair people out over the years. Wansley beats them all hands down!
90+ degree day and extremely humid. Noticed around 4pm that the upstairs AC didn't seem to be cooling and saw it rise to 83 degrees. Normally it can keep it at 80 on the hottest days but not today. My husband and I realized it wasn't working.
Luckily we were going to a friend's house to watch college football and our friends told us about Wansley. Called them and they could come out on a Saturday night!! Husband and kids stayed at friend's house and I came home.
Mickey came out and fixed it in 20 minutes. Amazing! Smart, nice and fast. What? Yes, it's true. He saved us from all sleeping on the floor of the living room (it was our upstairs Ac that went out where our bedrooms are.)
Will never call anyone else! Wansley is the best.

Another thing that seems so hard to come by these days is just having an hvac person show up when they say they're going to. Ive had several bad experiences where the hvac person would not show up or answer my calls once the appointment was made. Anthony texts me lets me know when hes coming and guess what... He actually shows up! Great work! Very reliable!

We talked to several companies that said they could get someone out the following Monday...but it was Thursday and we have two small children. The after hours technician from Wansleys was the first to call us back and was only 30 minutes away! Upon arrival, he quickly assessed the issue and started working to get it resolved. He was super thorough and talked me through everything along the way. Super great experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone else for home hvac maintenance.

After at least 5 other AC companies trying to diagnose the issue and not being able to diagnose the problem these guys did it!!! I was so happy and it was a simple fix. We had called one place (wich Ill write them a pretty lame review) that come out, told us we needed a part that was difficult to find so we'd need a whole new unit, and then we didn't hear from them for a week... until today.
We had called Wansley today (based off another company's recommendation) and they were here within just a few hours. The tech was great and really friendly (wish I would have got his name!). He took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and set the thermostats for us. He also informed me that the unit that was apparently "broken" was actually just not hooked up... hummm.
I will recommend these guys to any one who wants great, fast, cost effective, and friendly service that won't bamboozle you!

I'm gonna use 'em forever just because of that and their commitment to fast, friendly, reasonably-priced service. This is what's missing from most "service" businesses today. Wansley will treat you right!

While I haven't had these guys out to my home, yet, they are the ONLY company we will call when we need something at work.
Mike, our primary technician, is fantastic. Friendly, responsive, reliable and always acts with our best interests in mind. If the repair isn't something he can guarantee, he'll suggest alternatives for us instead of charging us. We can trust that if/when something can be repaired, but more efficiently be replaced, he'll be honest with us and give all the information possible to make the best decision.
When Mike (heaven forbid) goes on vacation or is otherwise unavailable, we've worked with other technicians from Wansley. While not all are as friendly as Mike, they have all still done high-quality work, and deliver the same great service.
I don't hope for my home A/C to break down any time soon, I do know who I'll call when it needs a little help.

Don't waste time with anyone else. We'd had a half a dozen hvac repair people out over the years. Wansley beats them all hands down!
90+ degree day and extremely humid. Noticed around 4pm that the upstairs AC didn't seem to be cooling and saw it rise to 83 degrees. Normally it can keep it at 80 on the hottest days but not today. My husband and I realized it wasn't working.
Luckily we were going to a friend's house to watch college football and our friends told us about Wansley. Called them and they could come out on a Saturday night!! Husband and kids stayed at friend's house and I came home.
Mickey came out and fixed it in 20 minutes. Amazing! Smart, nice and fast. What? Yes, it's true. He saved us from all sleeping on the floor of the living room (it was our upstairs Ac that went out where our bedrooms are.)
Will never call anyone else! Wansley is the best.

I have had the most random issues with my current condo and rental house and Anthony has be able to pinpoint the problem an execute. Another thing that seems so hard to come by these days is just having an hvac person show up when they say they're going to. Ive had several bad experiences where the hvac person would not show up or answer my calls once the appointment was made. Anthony texts me lets me know when hes coming and guess what... He actually shows up! Great work! Very reliable!

Amazing service! We came home to a hot house after work and started calling around for after hours emergency service. We talked to several companies that said they could get someone out the following Monday...but it was Thursday and we have two small children. The after hours technician from Wansleys was the first to call us back and was only 30 minutes away! Upon arrival, he quickly assessed the issue and started working to get it resolved. He was super thorough and talked me through everything along the way. Super great experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone else for home hvac maintenance.

Our AC died Saturday afternoon (106 heat index) and I called their 24/7 line around 6pm. Mickey called back, asked me a few questions, and gave me some likely causes as well as estimated prices. He showed up at 8pm that day and had everything sorted by 8:30pm--well within his original price estimate. Great experience.

Had them come out today to check out our AC unit which never seems to be working right from the day we moved into house 8 years ago. After at least 5 other AC companies trying to diagnose the issue and not being able to diagnose the problem these guys did it!!! I was so happy and it was a simple fix. He took his time in problem solving and going through every possible issue it could be and figured it out! I wanted to hug him! They are knowledgable, professional and know what they are doing! The company I work for had an air conditioning problem and with 28 days of temps over 100 we were worried! We had called one place (wich Ill write them a pretty lame review) that come out, told us we needed a part that was difficult to find so we'd need a whole new unit, and then we didn't hear from them for a week... until today.
We had called Wansley today (based off another company's recommendation) and they were here within just a few hours. The tech was great and really friendly (wish I would have got his name!). He took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and set the thermostats for us. He also informed me that the unit that was apparently "broken" was actually just not hooked up... hummm.
I will recommend these guys to any one who wants great, fast, cost effective, and friendly service that won't bamboozle you!

Exceptional Service, honest, reliable, knowledgable. Our AC went out on a hot Texas night..the next morning (from a friends recommendation) we called Wansley. Later that day AC was fixed, running perfect! No BS..just straight forward good old fashioned service...will highly recommend to all family and friends!

Tremendously helpful guys. I called them once for an estimate, got a prompt answer, and when I called back a second time to schedule, they not only remembered me, but they remembered the work I had requested. The guy who came out diagnosed my problem (a different one than what I had said on the phone), was able to get a fix figured out, and was quickly able to make the repair. A great experience from start to finish.
